In 1988, a Frenchman decided to host a little picnic with his close friends all dressed in white. Since that time, Diner en Blanc has grown to be an international sensation, hosting thousands annually in cities and countries around the world. This year, Dallas joined the Diner en Blanc family and Pyrotex was front and center to help coordinate the event.

The evening began with 1600 of our closest friends piling out of buses at the secret location, the Continental Pedestrian Bridge overlooking Downtown Dallas. With the white arch of the Margo Hunt Hill Bridge in the background, it was the perfect location to begin an annual tradition. Guests set up their table, chairs, and decor and enjoyed their meal amidst strolling musicians, provided by Encore Entertainment and Nightlife Entertainment and sounds of the Dallas Wind Symphony.

Once dinner concluded, the guests were delighted with a Swing Dance flash mob and a Dallas Wind Symphony quartet concert. A quick flair of fireworks replaced the usual DEB sparklers to open the dance floor. DJ Jason Esquire delighted the crowd as they danced the night away.

The evening ended with a magnificent display by Pyrotex which included 2 trailers and 12 firing sites full of aerial shells. The show fired from the Trinity River bottom, split between both sides of the Trinity River, to delight the audience who was spread 2000 feet across the length of the bridge. Of course, the display begin with brilliant white and exploded into color over 10 minutes as the shells danced to unique musical selections. Keep an eye on our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/user/PyrotexUS, to see the full display which should be uploaded in the coming weeks.
